The “discussion post” has been a staple in higher education online classrooms for decades. While educators of learning widely rely on asynchronous discussion posting to engage students using institutional management systems (LMS), requires mediation and motivation sustain participation, is considered task-oriented by students, frequently criticized inauthentic dialogue. Slides Strategy, which utilizes collaborative Google Slide deck concert with Parallaxic Praxis, knowledge-generating framework, creates an effective environment meaningful engagement – demonstrating student understanding material, creating classroom community, provoking rich, critical Collaborative slides used as pedagogical tool this way encourage value all perspectives, diverse modality thought, inclusivity through platform that allows different literacies cohabitate, working toward decolonizing academia. This paper contextualizes reflections from five courses taught instructors, provides evidence assessing the effectiveness strategy instructor perspectives. As educational institutions continue grapple increasing reliance on, need for, innovative, dynamic, supportive environments post-pandemic landscape, Strategy moves post more authentic critically reflexive academic conversation.
